New EP Sessions Posted by Marek Vermin on August 5th, 2006

Hi everyone. For those of you who are interested, we’ll be recording a new EP in September when we get back from tour. We’re not totally sure, but we think the EP will be entitled “Power”, which is a title that kind of encapsulates the material we’ll be recording. Every song on this upcoming EP seems to have, at its core, a tale of power conflicts and how various modes of power (force on force) are used for both oppressive and liberatory means. We are all vessels of power and this is knowledge that can act as a catalyst for change, especially since it can be inspiring to recognize our own strength, most notably when we act in unison to help others and ourselves to live free.

Some of the songs appearing on the next EP are ones we’ll be playing live for the first time while on tour, so we’ll see how the peeps throughout the US feel about the new material. Hopefully, we won’t get stoned to death in the imperial heartland. Especially, since we’ve just printed up spiffy new lyric books which will be available at every show, so there’ll be no question as to what exactly we are singing about. ;)

The tracks we’ll be recording are: A Garden For Every Fist, The Baghdad Shuffle, divide et imperia, Life and Debt, and From the Schools to the Factories (In Three Easy Steps). I’ll be posting the lyrics to these songs soon, so check back if you are interested!

Keep on!
